Little Miss Sunshine
Rating: Active Eruption
What a great little movie..it kind of sneaks up on you. It's funny at first and grabs your attention, and then you get caught up in the story about this family of lovable losers-turned-winners, and you are cheering them on all the way to the end. The characters are delightfully real-life weird, each one of them a victim of their own strong beliefs. They interact like a real family, with all the messy and embarrassing moments none of us like to admit to exhibiting. When they all join together for the road trip to get young Olive to her beauty pageant in California, they learn more about life then they could have by staying home. It's hilarious and touching and a must-see, because this film will be getting more attention during the awards season.
